The Timothy Club

“Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” – I Timothy 4:12

Gospel Mission Baptist Church’s youth group, the Timothy Club, meets every Wednesday night at 7:30 pm.  The kids, ages 7-18, absolutely love it, and their parents are happy to know that we offer a ministry that is specially suited to the needs of their children.

The Timothy Club offers the kids of the community an opportunity to interact with each other in a safe and friendly environment.  With special games, trips, a summer youth camp, and a variety of other fun activities, the youth of the Timothy Club have no complaints of boredom.

Bible Preaching and Teaching
With all the games and activities aside, the most important aspect of the Timothy Club by far is the preaching and teaching of God’s Word to our young people.  With a weekly meeting on Wednesdays and special Youth Rallies, our young people are fed a steady diet of the Word of God.  The childhood and teen years are the most impressionable by far, that is why it is so important that we plant the seeds of Christ’s Gospel in their heart while they are young.
Bus Ministry
Gospel Mission Baptist’s church van is busy every Wednesday night as it goes into the neighborhoods of our community picking up kids for youth church.  If you live in the area, and are interested in sending your children via our church van, then feel free to call the church at (336) 983-8866 or e-mail us with your information.

Activities
Psalm 71:18 says, “Now also when I am old and gray-headed, O God, forsake me not; until I have showed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.”

It is my prayer that the young people who are under the ministry of our church experience the life-changing, regenerating power of God through hearing Spirit-filled preaching/ teaching, practicing individual worship, memorizing Scripture, enjoying opportunities of ministry and sharing their faith with one another.  We welcome young persons ages 7 through 18 to our meetings on Wednesday evenings at 7:30pm.
