Heart & Hands
Stop and think on the people you know and have met in your life. Do you know any widows in need? Do you know anyone that is sick and afflicted? How about someone that is lonely, or in financial distress, or is new to the area and needs a friend?
As 2007 began, we instituted a ladies ministry for our church that enables us to reach out to these people, first with our heart, by showing them the love of Christ, and second with our hand, by doing good deeds. The Heart & Hands goal is to exemplify the love of Christ by showing compassion on, ministering to, and doing good deeds to others. Our desire is to point the lost to Christ and to edify all Christians. Throughout the year, our main desire is to focus on certain areas:
Community
Missionaries
Church Visitors
Shut-ins and elderly
Heart Sisters
Families in need
If you are a lady of the church, and would like to serve in these areas, please contact me or come to our next scheduled meeting. Please pray for this new ministry as we set our specific goals and make a difference by showing compassion (Jude 22).
